Genre in TV programming has significantly altered since the time television was invented. This is indeed very obvious. However, the concept of bringing televisions shows to reality through the introduction of reality-based programs has broken the classic notion of predictable TV, and the offering of unscripted and real-time TV shows brings the level of watching to a higher level.

Reality shows are watched by million televiewers because of the horde of surprises and that level of excitement that they anticipate since character behavior are unexpected and the twist and turns of events are not so predictable unlike in the regular television series that we used to watch. But, since viewers are given this medium, their perspectives of an outcome for the show becomes predictable, and eventually they have already thought of the possible endings for a show even if those programs are not even finished yet. This is a challenge to entertainment conceptualizers on how to strategize and formulate reality-based programs that will offer a new flavor and excitement for their target market. Also, the inclusion of culture-sensitive elements must be considered in order not to offend one’s religion and social norms, or even face legal sanctions on the part of the censors.

Regardless of future developments, reality programs will continue to thrive as viewers like surprises and as the cliché goes that one’s life is unique, and so as every reality show.

Many of us are becoming bored today. Maybe because of so much work that we have done; or too much pressure from the things that surrounds us, or simply we are just bored. There is a vast number of funny materials circulating in the Internet. The invention of the Web gave us a variety of Web resources where we can enjoy and relax through just surfing the cyberspace. And the funny stuffs are limitless, they seem to be increasing in numbers, and when you start enjoying them, you’ll also realize you don’t have the time watching them all.

First are funny songs. These types of songs are oftentimes compositions that provide laughter through its lyrics or through the way it is sang or interpreted, or the tune is so cool that we feel like dancing whenever we heard of it. Even songs written by foreigners, those with foreign lyrics seemed to be more acceptable and appreciated than before because of the wide circulation the Internet offers to songwriters.

How about TV ads? These things used to be kept off by TV viewers. But not all commercials are bad. There are those commercials, even though we don’t like the product or service being advertised, we still liked them since they have captured our attention. Many of these funny commercials are very popular in the Web and they themselves alone are enough to market that particular service or product. Some of them are even banned in TV, but we’re fortunate we have the Web, and censors cannot do much to prevent us from seeing them.

This age is also the age of reality shows, and they mix humor and actual wit to bring about true to life shows, not those made by actors and actresses. Funny pranks are famous and almost every one, regardless of who they are, are making their own names when their shows took the Web by storm.

See, there are a huge amount of funny resources and entertaining media in the World Wide Web. No need to spend much. A search and click will do, and that’s when entertainment starts.

10 Article Writing Keys for Newbies

This piece on the 10 (no, 11… yes, 11) tips for aspiring writers is not composed from the catbird seat point of view of the article publisher or database manager. It is rather by and from the perspective of an writer who thinks the early misgivings. It is written especially for the starting article author. I have composed and submitted hundreds of compositions for publication to numerous of article servers and information managers and still feels article writing my nemesis.

1. Necessity vs Desire:
Compositions and Web blogs are necessary in today’s system of indexing by search engines. Not what the newbie wants to hear. Just think of what the Bible says, “there has nothing over taken you that is not common to man”. That’s right! Many of us hate article and blog writing at times, and some of us dread the journey to pen and paper (or keyboard as the case may be) all the time. Many a webmaster would call them “a unavoidable evil” as they are not generally anyone’s best liked house keeping tasks.

2. Just Being Writing, It Gets Lighter:
First it is often hard to get a subject or theme and to get the first couple of lines scribbled down. We know authors who actually get sick thinking about the process. Lighten up. There are a lot to write about, name it: alternative medicine, cancer diseases, true religion, life insurance, playing online poker, cheap insurance. Others may think of even more unusual topics such as penis enlargement and cheap viagra. Once an writer has a starting point and gets passed the first thoughts, article and blog writing usually works fairly smoothly.

The great thing is that you begin writing. Pick a theme you know something about and just start. You will be pleasantly stunned at just how easily ideas flow. Don’t take everyone knows what you know. 3. Good vs Perfection:

4. Length of Blog vs Article Length:
Most web publishers want a minimum of six hundred (600) words per article - some will let you slide with four hundred (400) words. Blogs can have a shorter content. Blogs can and maybe should support appropriate images and embedded links.

Just don’t over do it. Too gaudy or too slow to load and you have wasted your time, ticked off a potential reader, and probably upset a publisher who can ban you from their publications. articles, then again, typically cannot carry these extra touches according to the essentials of most article publishers.

5. Format:
Prepare your article in American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) format. There are a lot of software from which to choose to get the job done. A search the web for “free ASCII editor” will give you a lot of tools to choose from. WordPress is a favorite option. If all fails simply use notepad to turn out your masterpiece.

6. Grammar and Spelling:
Once you have your article or blog run it through a good spell checker and a good grammar checker. Microsoft Word has a built-in tool for this. Just don’t use the MS Word copy for publishing of your article. Rather use its suggestions to make any unavoidable corrections to your copy in plain text. The MS Word copy will work for blogs although other editors are favored.

Like the good old days when you were pushed by teachers, you will findarticle writing and blog authoring skills become easier with time and practice.

7. Publish and Announce:
Once your article is ready you may want to utilize some software to publish and announce it. First do a search for Blog hosts and select those which best suit your needs. Register in one or more and publish your blog there. Then search for blog announcers and RSS announcers and use them to get your blog noticed.

Now that you have that out of the way find an article wizard that will post your articles to free article publishers. You can post them one at a time by hand if you are really bored and have absolutely nothing else in life to do. Using an automatic poster you can publish to hundreds of hosts in an hour or so. The only way to go.

8. Patience:
Now, have some forbearance. Here is where you lose control. Many of those who host writings are timely and your compositions will be reviewed within 1 to 2 days. Others may take days and weeks therefore never date an article - a sure way to get rejected.

9. Rejection - “sorry your article has been declined”:
Be prepared for most servers to reject your compositions. Do not be personal about this. It usually has something to do with your submission and with you as the author.

Some sites routinely reject compositions for spelling errors when there are none or where there is more than way to spell a word. And, just as in any other endeavor some hosts are simply too slow-moving and get so far behind, the best and quickest thing to do (and perhaps the only alternative) is to reject the whole article. You will know who does this over time.

Then there are those who run your articles through the sausage grinder and if they find certain words, regardless of their usage, your article are instantly junked. These are those who can’t even publish the Holy Bible because of the words it contains that may offend readers. These are people who are narrow-minded and doesn’t deserve a place in article writing.

Remember the rule: In every rule, there is an exemption.

10. Always believe, and keep cranking out writings:
Since most writers, especially starters, prepare only one copy of an article against the advice of most seasoned authors it is important that the newbie keep his chin up - keep the faith. That will be easier as more and more of your compositions are accepted and published driving visitors to your website while making those all significant back links.

It is not necessary that every host to accept every submission. After one or two servers publish your article on any given subject, the search engines tend to penalize you anyway by ignoring additional postings. This is close to spamming and while it could help someone find you, it probably won’t. It is not necessarily, the more the merrier. The additional listings will not step-up your page rankings or links reported by the search engines. It is more important to get published by directories with the highest Google PageRank possible.

Now, one EXTRA Hint for you: Along with “the rejection slip” will usually come a suggestion on how to “fix” your article and a asking that you resubmit it. Don’t waste your time. While trying comply with one database manager’s request you could have written a new one from which you get much more punch. There will be enough article publishers will pick your article up so move on and save yourself some time and heartburn.

Each person has a thought or idea at least once a day usually at the most ill-timed time. How many of these ideas are lost because you procrastinate? Don’t procrastinate! Go! Write that thought before disappears.

5 Reasons Why You Should Quit Your Day Job

Maybe most of us like to quit our job if we could. We constantly dream about it, but that’s about as far as we get-dreaming. Working an 8-5 shift just seems unavoidable. I, Timothy Ward, however am a master at defying the inescapable. I stare ‘The Inevitable’ right in the face and call him dirty names. I say, if you like to stop working, STOP WORKING; I’ll even give you 5 reasons why you should.

1. If you leave your job you’ll have plenty of time to reading articles such as this. That will make me a trademark name down at the Unemployment and Welfare offices. My famousness is a small price to pay for you living your dreams. Think about this when you see me on the ‘Today Show’.

2. There’s a great feeling in quitting your job. For about 10 minutes you’ll be on cloud nine, you’ll on the top of the world, you’ll have a good life, you’ll be: -insert your own cliche here-. Then the worries start about the car note, the mortgage, the kid’s school clothes, groceries, and how you’re going to pay that $850 you owe the Petermanns for running over their mailbox and a whole row of prize-winning azaleas. All this will bring depression up to the extent of attempting suicide, but at least you had 10 minutes of freedom.

3. TV shows during the day is considered the most breathtaking and captivating television in the market. You’ll think how come you get to survive without all those quality soap operas, daytime talk shows, and judge shows where you suspect that the judge has beed paid. Mix all these shows with all the educational TV ads that air during the day that will ”Get a degree from home’, ‘Make $1,000 a day answering emails’,'Learn the Internet in 2 hours’ in such exciting fields as GED preparation and septic tank scrubber’ and you’ll not just think why you didn’t leave your job sooner, you promise you won’t get back to work again.

4. In your formerly employed state you missed all those important calls from collection agencies and other bill collectors. Now that you have quit your job you’ll be able to sit at home in eager anticipation of these oh-so-important calls. Toss in a few telemarketers, calls from various associations begging for donations, and a few of those computers that call you and ask you to ‘Hold for an important message’ and you’ll have a full day of just answering the phone. It’s like having a job again, without all the hassle of getting a paycheck.

5. Forcing yourself out of bed daily at 5:45 in the morning is not good for your health. Your doctor will be happy to know that you care enough for your body to go as far as quitting your job. He will not, however, see you as a patient anymore since you don’t have health insurance. We have free clinics though, and you don’t have to worry. Sitting all day in a damp clinic waiting room next to two teenagers diagnosed with Gonorrhea is yet another experience you would have missed out on if you keep working on your present job.

There you have it folks. 5 reasons why you should immediately go out and quit your job. Have a free feeling to say these to your boss when you turn in your two weeks notice. If she wants to knowwhere in the world you get that information tell her that a friend with unselfish motives provided them to you, and all I wanted in return was that you remember me when you get your septic tank scrubbed next time…

Birthdays: Reasons for Celebrating

Why do we observe celebrating our birthdays? What is it that we are proud of? Is it because we survived another year? Are we tinkering about our progress we have gone through, our overall achievements? Is it a sign of new hope sprung eternal to live another year?

None would matter maybe..

If we are commemorating the year that passed, would we still drink to it if we have some bad news about our health? Not likely. But why? How is the future relevant (our own looming death) when it is the past that we are celebrating? We cannot change the past. No future event can corrupt the fact that we have made it through another 12 months of struggle. Then why not celebrate this fact?

Because it is not the past that is foremost on our minds. It is about our future, not of the past. We are observing having arrived so far because such successful resilience allows us to continue forward. We proclaim our potential to further enjoy the gifts of life. Birthdays are expressions of unrestrained, blind faith in our own suspended mortality.

But if these all are true, definitely we have less and less to celebrate as we grow older. What reason do octogenarians have to drink to another year if that gift is not easily guaranteed? Life provides diminishing returns: the longer you are invested, the less likely you are to reap the dividenda of survival, life insurance for example. Indeed, based on actuary tables, it becomes increasingly less rational to celeberate as we grow older.

Thus, we are driven into the conclusion self-delusionally defying death are what birthday meant. Preserving the illusion of immortality are what birthdays mean. Birthdays are forms of acting out our magical thinking. By celebrating that we exist, we give ourselves protective charms against the meaninglessness and arbitrariness of a cold, impersonal, and and most of the time a world of hostility.

And it works most of the time. Have a no prescription - Happy birthday!
